O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2895 by Hancock (Relating to compliance with federal occupational safety and health standards in environmental enforcement.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would provide that a violation did not occur if a person can establish that an act or event that otherwise would be a violation of a statute within the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's (TCEQ) jurisdiction or a rule adopted or an order or permit issued by the TCEQ under such a statute was caused solely by compliance with the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The bill is not expected to have a signficant impact on the TCEQ's workload.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
