ANALYSIS C.S.H.B. 3003 amends the Occupations Code to authorize a commissioners court of a county with a population of less than 110,000 to create a bail bond board if it approves the creation of the board by a majority vote in addition to the existing requirement that a majority of persons who would serve as members or designate the persons who would serve as members of the board determine to create a board. EFFECTIVE DATE On passage, or, if the act does not receive the necessary vote, the act takes effect September 1, 2009.
