A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a uniform process by which financial institutions make
deposited funds available to account holders.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Finance Code, is
amended by adding Section 11.310 to read as follows:
Sec. 11.310. RULES RELATING TO AVAILABILITY OF DEPOSITS.
The finance commission by rule shall establish a uniform process by
which all financial institutions must make deposited funds,
including funds deposited electronically, available to the holder
of the deposit account into which the funds were deposited.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
