O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3469 by Coleman (Relating to the authority of a community health center to contract with or employ an optometrist or therapeutic optometrist.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require the Texas Optometry Board, by rule, to certify a health organization to contract with or employ an optometrist or therapeutic optometrist if the organization applies to the board for certification and provides proof to the board that the organization is a community health center as defined by the bill.   Based on the analysis of the Texas Optometry Board, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
