The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to authorize requiring a defendant who is placed on electronic monitoring or required to be tested for use of controlled substances as a condition of bond to pay for those services as a condition of bond. If those costs are imposed, the bill would authorize a magistrate to revoke a defendant's bond and order the defendant arrested if they fail to pay those costs. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
