The bill would amend the Water Code to authorize a navigation district to establish an employee catastrophic assistance fund program and sets forth the basic procedures and requirements for a program. The bill would also amend the Water Code regarding contract procedures applicable to a navigation district or port authority. The bill would repeal Section 60.012, Water Code, regarding investment of a navigation district's funds.
