O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:HB3799 by Geren (Relating to the preservation and maintenance of the governor's mansion.), As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would provide for the State Preservation Board to be solely responsible for the preservation and maintenance of the Governor's Mansion. The bill would allow the State Preservation Board to accept gifts, grants, and donations on behalf of the Governor's Mansion. The bill would repeal statute providing for the Historical Commission to be solely responsible for the preservation and maintenance of the Governor's Mansion. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected toeach house, otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009. It is assumed that any additional duties and responsibilities required by the bill could be absorbedwithin existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
