The bill would exclude from various provisions of Section 2308 of the Occupations Code a towing company that conducts at least 50 percent of its business or has its primary office located in a county with a population of less than 50,000. The bill would require the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to adopt rules to conform existing rules to these provisions. TDLR indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
