 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the designation of a courthouse or building in a
 courthouse square in certain counties as a state archeological
 landmark.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1. Section 191.097, Natural Resources Code, is
 amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
 (c)  Notwithstanding Subsection (a), the committee shall
 remove from designation as a landmark a county courthouse or
 building in a county courthouse square if the courthouse or
 building is located in a county with a population of more than
 15,900 and less than 16,200.
 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
