                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 20, 2009      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB407 by Kuempel (Relating to participation and credit in, contributions to, benefits from, and administration of the Texas County and District Retirement System.), As Passed 2nd House    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code, and repeal portions of the Government Code, as it relates to the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS). Local Government Impact According to information provided by TCDRS, it is assumed that any fiscal impact associated with administrative changes to the system could be absorbed within existing resources. In addition, it is assumed that provisions that could affect requirements of participating political subdivisions would not have a significant fiscal impact.
