The bill would increase the number of members on the Advisory Board of Cosmetology at the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) from five to seven. The bill would require the presiding officer of the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation to appoint the two new members as soon as practicable after the effective date of the act. TDLR anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
