The bill would amend sections of the Local Government Code to clarify procedures for the removal of a county officer from office who has pleaded guilty, pleaded nolo contendere, or has a judgment of guilt decided. The bill also details procedures for appointment of a replacement for the removed official.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
