O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB4359 by Smithee (Relating to the registration with the Texas Department of Insurance of certain contract examiners.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Insurance Code to require certain contract examiners to register with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). The bill would result in TDI receiving additional filings from contract examiners and a slight increase in enforcement activities for contract examiners that do not follow the requirements listed in the bill. Based on TDI's analysis, any costs associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be absorbed in agency resources.
