                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 14, 2009      TO: Honorable Burt R. Solomons, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB4414 by Taylor (Relating to the application of the sunset review process to the office of vehicle fleet management.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 2171 of the Government Code, regarding travel and vehicle fleet services and would  apply the Sunset Act's provisions to the office of vehicle fleet management within the Comptroller's Office. Unless continued in existence by the Legislature, the office of vehicle fleet management would be abolished September 1, 2011. This bill would take effect immediately upon enactment, assuming that it received the requisite two-thirds majority votes in both houses of the Legislature. Otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
