O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB4440 by Kolkhorst (Relating to a study by the attorney general of the effects on state law and authority of certain international and other agreements and bodies.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend statute and provide that the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) conduct a study to determine whether state law or the Texas Legislatures authority is or may be restricted, nullified, superseded, preempted, or otherwise directly affected by various organizations through a proposed compact, agreement, or other arrangement between certain entities. The OAG anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current agency resources.
