Under provisions of the bill, Texas Southern University would be authorized to charge an Intercollegiate Athletics fee of $10 per semester credit hour (up to 12 hours per semester per student) for the purpose of continued development and maintenance of intercollegiate athletic programs. The University estimates the maximum revenue that could be generated under the bill would be $2,268,660 per year.
