The bill would create the Timothy Cole Texas Innocence Commission to investigate all post-conviction exonerations. Appointed members of the commission are not entitled to compensation but are entitled to reimbursement of the members travel expenses. The Texas Legislative Council, the Legislative Budget Board, and the Texas Tech University System shall assist the commission in performing the commissions duties.
