The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Section 105.01 to permit the sale of liquor from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The bill would also permit the sale of liquor on Mondays following Christmas Day or New Years Day if either holiday falls on a Sunday. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Comptroller of Public Accounts state the bill would create no significant fiscal impact to their agencies or the State. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
