The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the periods of possession of a child to which the child's managing conservator is entitled under a standard possession order. To the extent the bill would amend provisions relating to periods of possession of children between the managing conservator and the possessory conservator, no affect on judicial workloads or fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
