 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Mike
 Freewith of Paris, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2009, at the
 age of 88; and
 WHEREAS, Born on September 8, 1920, to Mike and Maude
 Freewith of Lamar County, Mike Freewith graduated from Paris High
 School and attended Paris Junior College; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Freewith married Cecil Wooldridge in 1954 and
 they enjoyed 28 fulfilling years of life together and raised two
 children before her death in 1983; and
 WHEREAS, He worked for Babcock and Wilcox Corporation and was
 a member of the Breakfast Optimist Club, Paris Rodeo and Horse Club,
 and the Lamar County Sheriff's Posse; he also coached baseball for
 12 years and enjoyed working in ballpark concession stands; and
 WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, Mike Freewith
 lived a caring and purposeful life and he leaves behind a wealth of
 happy memories to be treasured by all who knew and cared for him;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
 hereby pay tribute to the life of Mike Freewith and extend sincere
 sympathy to the members of his family: to his children, Mike
 Freewith, Jr., and Susie Skidmore and her husband, David; to his
 granddaughters, Lauren and Taylor Skidmore; to his sisters-in-law,
 Doris Wooldridge and Katherine Jetton; to his caregiver, Tracy
 Risinger; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
 Mike Freewith.
