 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The untimely death of Justin M. Lynch of Mesquite on
 February 19, 2009, at the age of 24, has brought a profound loss to
 his students and fellow teachers at Agnew Middle School as well as
 to the family and friends of this highly respected young man; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Lynch had been a member of the Agnew faculty
 since the 2007-2008 school year and taught eighth-grade math; a
 devoted instructor, he was a positive influence in the lives of his
 students and found ways to build their self-esteem in the learning
 process; he also had a knack for making school fun, and his
 classroom jokes were a source of great amusement to the young people
 he taught; and
 WHEREAS, Born on October 23, 1984, in Dallas, Mr. Lynch
 graduated from Poteet High School in 2003 and earned a degree from
 Texas A&M University in 2007; in choosing to pursue a career in
 education, he followed in the footsteps of his mother, Rita, who has
 worked in the Mesquite Independent School District for many years;
 and
 WHEREAS, To honor Mr. Lynch, the Agnew Middle School
 eighth-grade basketball team dedicated a February basketball
 tournament to his memory, and a scholarship fund has been
 established in his name; these tributes are an indication of the
 great admiration that he earned during his brief time at the school,
 and recollections of his humor, generosity, and concern for others
 will be forever treasured by those who had the good fortune to know
 him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Justin M. Lynch and
 express sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
 Kimberly; to his parents, John and Rita Lynch; to his sisters, Amy
 LaGrange and her husband, Donnie, and Melissa Chase and her
 husband, Brandon; to his six nieces and nephews; and to his other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Justin
 Lynch.
