H.R. No. 1684
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Robert and Doris Bray of Woodway
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 19, 2007;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bray were united in matrimony at the
South Bosque Church on that special day in 1952; through the years,
they have nurtured a loving family that has grown to include two
children, Robert and Nancy, as well as three grandchildren, April,
Robert, and Colleen, three great-grandchildren, Samantha, the late
Gabriel, and Mia, four step-grandchildren, and four
step-great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bray worked at General Tire and Mrs. Bray is
retired after nearly three decades with Midway School; the couple
are founding members of Woodway First United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Doris Bray on the joyous
milestone of their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bray as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
