 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State became home to a new citizen with
 the birth of Praxedis "Prax" Blaine Morgan on March 17, 2009; and
 WHEREAS, Born to former state representative Gabi
 Canales-Morgan and Gordon Morgan of Corpus Christi, this darling
 baby boy weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 19 inches in
 length when he made his much-anticipated entrance at 9:44 a.m.; and
 WHEREAS, His arrival has been a source of great pride to the
 family's extensive circle of family and friends, particularly to
 his doting grandparents, Rachel Canales Borchard and Terry Canales
 and Dorthy and Leslie Morgan; and
 WHEREAS, Affectionately called "Little Lito," "Luvagus," and
 "Monkey," Prax is the first child for Mr. Morgan and Mrs.
 Canales-Morgan, who were married on June 15, 2007, in Cozumel; Mr.
 Morgan, a personal injury attorney, served his country in the U.S.
 Army and graduated from The University of Texas; he remains a loyal
 Longhorn fan and enjoys leading the motorcycle club Caballos
 Diablos; also a lawyer, Mrs. Canales-Morgan served her fellow
 citizens in the Texas House of Representatives during the 78th
 Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, With deep Lone Star roots, the family maintains a
 second home at La Cabra Ranch in Premont, where Prax is a
 fourth-generation resident, helping to sustain a South Texas
 ranching heritage spanning more than 150 years; and
 WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event, and
 it is a pleasure to join in celebrating the arrival of Praxedis
 Blaine Morgan and to honor his delighted parents; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Gabi Canales-Morgan and Gordon
 Morgan on the birth of their son, Praxedis Blaine Morgan, and extend
 to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
