 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
 by a great and enduring love, Bill and Karen Erck of Waco celebrated
 their 50th wedding anniversary on August 31, 2007; and
 WHEREAS, Bill Erck and the former Karen Bruner were joined in
 matrimony in 1957 in a ceremony held at Central Christian Church in
 Waco; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured
 family that includes their children, David and Steven Erck and
 Terri and Gerald Geisler, and their grandchildren, Jordan Erck,
 Montana and Cheyenne Townsley, and Garrett and Shelbi Geisler; and
 WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Erck is
 retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, while Mrs. Erck has
 been an employee of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center; respected
 members of their community, they are members of American Legion
 Post 121 and the Marine Corps League, and they have been active with
 Citizens on Patrol, the Cedar Ridge Neighborhood Association, and
 the Central Texas Horseshoe Pitchers Association; Mr. Erck has also
 been a volunteer with the Waco Police Department; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Erck have enjoyed more than five
 decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they are
 among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a
 lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Karen Erck on their golden
 wedding anniversary in 2007 and extend to them sincere best wishes
 for continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Erck as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
