R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ronald and Geneva Vaughan of McGregor celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on February 9, 2008, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Franklin on that special day in 1958, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in one another a loving life
partner; and
WHEREAS, They count among their blessings a fine family that
includes their children, Ron and his wife, Kimberly, Gena and her
husband, Patrick, Becky and her husband, Chris, and Randy and his
wife, Tami, as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Ronald and Geneva Vaughan have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronald and Geneva Vaughan on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
