R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Robert and Barbara Szanto of McLennan County
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 16, 2007, and
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they
have shared; and
WHEREAS, Bob Szanto and the former Barbara Weaver exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Waco on that special day in 1957, and over
the course of their marriage, they have found in one another a
loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes their daughter, Denise, their son-in-law, Dean, their
grandchildren, Ashley and Adrian, and their great-granddaughter,
Kinsey; and
WHEREAS, Residents of the Chalk Bluff community since 1960,
Mr. Szanto is retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and
Mrs. Szanto from Texas Gold Gift Center; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Robert and Barbara Szanto have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Barbara Szanto on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Szanto as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
