H.R. No. 1885
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned more
than half a century, Bob and Jean Chapman of Lorena celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on July 26, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman exchanged the vows of matrimony
at Hewitt Baptist Church in Hewitt on that memorable day in 1958,
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other
a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Today, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman count among their
blessings a fine family that includes their three daughters, Pam,
Brenda, and Wendy, as well as six grandchildren, Billy, Megan,
Brandy, Beau, Tamara, and Scott, and a great-granddaughter, Hannah,
with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life;
and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Bob and
Jean Chapman may reflect with joy on their marriage and know that
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Bob and Jean Chapman on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chapman as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
