H.R. No. 2002 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Clarissa Ramon of San Antonio was selected to participate in the 2009 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program, and during the 81st Legislative Session, she has ably served her fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Roberto Alonzo; and WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation, the program offers outstanding undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to serve as full-time policy interns in the offices of members of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus and gain experience working with the Texas Legislature; and WHEREAS, A Presidential Scholar and graduate of St. Mary's University, Ms. Ramon served as an intern for the San Antonio District Attorney's Office and studied abroad in Austria and Mexico while working toward her bachelor's degree; and WHEREAS, Over the course of her tenure at the State Capitol, she has been of great assistance to Representative Alonzo's office, while acquiring knowledge of issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; she has performed her duties as a legislative aide with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and she may indeed look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby honor Clarissa Ramon as a participant in the 2009 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program and commend her for her notable contributions to the legislative process; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Ramon as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
