H.R. No. 2311 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Corporal Scott Alexander McIntosh of Houston suffered an immeasurable loss with the death of this courageous young man on March 10, 2008, at the age of 26; and WHEREAS, Corporal McIntosh was killed while bravely serving his country during combat operations in Iraq as a member of the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart, Georgia; and WHEREAS, Born in Humble on February 4, 1982, Scott McIntosh was a valued member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, where he was active in the Senior EYC youth group and served as an acolyte for six years; and WHEREAS, Through his unwavering dedication to duty, honor, and this country, Corporal McIntosh embodied the highest ideals of the armed services, and the memory of his love and friendship will be forever treasured by those who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Corporal Scott Alexander McIntosh and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Alexander and Gwenn McIntosh; to his brother, Eric McIntosh; to his grandparents, Patricia Whelen and her husband, Thomas, and Dottie Collier; to his uncles, Lawrence McIntosh, Jr., and Joseph Collier; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Corporal Scott Alexander McIntosh.
