R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
express its gratitude to Tom Whatley, director of the House
Research Organization, whose hard work throughout this legislative
session has greatly benefited the members of this chamber; and
WHEREAS, The House Research Organization provides factual
and analytical information about house legislation; its concisely
formatted reports and digests cover nearly 1,000 bills and joint
resolutions each session, and during the interim, it continues to
produce special reports on a wide range of timely issues; and
WHEREAS, This skilled professional has demonstrated tireless
commitment in behalf of the 81st Legislature, and his outstanding
contributions to state government indeed merit special
recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Tom Whatley for his dedicated service as
a legislative employee; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Whatley as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
