No. 2737 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at the loss of Brendon Chase Mooney of Spring, who died on May 11, 2009, at the age of 22; and WHEREAS, Brendon Mooney was born in The Woodlands on October 7, 1986, to Richard and Joan Mooney; he graduated in 2005 from Klein Collins High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, and he further distinguished himself as a talented athlete who played football and hockey and earned a varsity letter in wrestling; and WHEREAS, A junior at Baylor University, Mr. Mooney was studying exercise physiology, and he served as a pledge master of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity; and WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, Brendon Mooney will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to share in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Brendon Chase Mooney and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his parents, Richard and Joan Mooney; to his sister, Ashleigh Mooney; to his grandmothers, Olla Mooney and Jimmie Oyler; to his uncle, Jim Adams; to his cousins, Steve Adams and his wife, Summer, Kristi Streit and her husband, Jamie, Katie Streit, Audrey Adams, and Zoe Adams; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brendon Chase Mooney.
