H.R. No. 2776
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned a
quarter-century, Jimmy and Karen Patterson of Midland celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Jimmy Patterson and the former Karen Cichon
exchanged the vows of matrimony at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
College Station on that special day in 1984, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson count among their blessings a
fine family that includes three children, Jennifer, Kelsey, and
James, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions
of life; Mr. Patterson is online editor for the Midland
Reporter-Telegram and director of communications for the Diocese of
San Angelo; Mrs. Patterson is a case manager for the U.S. Bankruptcy
Court; the couple are members of St. Ann's Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 25 years, Jimmy and Karen
Patterson can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jimmy and Karen Patterson on the
occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Patterson as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
