R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, May 23, 2009, signaled the beginning of a new
chapter in the lives of Lindsey Yaws and Philip Kent, for on that
day they exchanged their wedding vows and embarked on a rewarding
journey together as husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Yaws and Mr. Kent were joined in matrimony at
Scofield Memorial Church before welcoming their guests at a
reception at the Garland Special Events Center; and
WHEREAS, The momentous day also brought together the parents
of the bride, Robin Yaws and James Yaws and the parents of the
groom, Donna Kent and Creighton Kent, into one family; and
WHEREAS, The wedding of Ms. Yaws and Mr. Kent marks a profound
deepening of a relationship that has grown in love, respect, and
mutual regard with each passing day, and it is truly a pleasure to
honor this fortunate couple; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lindsey Yaws and Philip Kent on the
joyous occasion of their wedding and extend to them sincere best
wishes for a lifetime of happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
