R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Anna Brown of Spring Hill High School in Longview
earned great distinction by qualifying for the 2009 University
Interscholastic League Academic State Meet in Austin on May 25 and
26, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jim and Debby Bass, Ms. Brown is
currently completing her junior year at Spring Hill; having
excelled in earlier competitions, she qualified to advance to state
in the Calculator Applications category; and
WHEREAS, To perform at the highest level in statewide
academic competition requires not only skill and intellect but also
exceptional dedication, and Ms. Brown may reflect with pride on
this notable achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Anna Brown for qualifying for the 2009
UIL Academic State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success and a bright future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
