 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Roger Dennis, Jr., of Live Oak passed away on
 February 29, 2008, at the age of 55, leaving his circle of family
 and friends with many treasured memories of time spent in his
 company; and
 WHEREAS, Born to Roger and Sammie Lee Dennis on March 13,
 1952, Roger Dennis grew up in a large family with three brothers and
 four sisters; in his youth, he attended Brackenridge High School
 and San Antonio College, where he studied music; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Dennis joined the San Antonio Fire Department at
 the age of 20; he trained as a paramedic in one of the first such
 classes offered and was a staff member at Fire Station No. 14 at the
 time of his death; and
 WHEREAS, With his beloved wife, Mary, Mr. Dennis shared a
 fulfilling marriage that spanned 32 years, and together they
 experienced the joy of welcoming a daughter, a son-in-law, and
 three grandchildren into their family; in his leisure time, he took
 pleasure in bargain shopping for his loved ones and making the
 acquaintance of many people; and
 WHEREAS, Roger Dennis was a devout and caring man, and he will
 be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have
 known him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Roger Dennis, Jr., and
 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
 Mary Dennis; to his daughter, Christina Bright, and her husband,
 Antonio; to his grandchildren, Chase Roger, Cierra, and Christiane;
 to his brothers and their wives, Wilmire and Lucinda Jones, Harrold
 Dennis, and Larry and Guffie Dennis; to his sisters and their
 husbands, Rebecca and Wilbert Tinkshell, Michelle and Michael
 Thomas, and YeVonne and Michael Wiltz; and to his other relatives
 and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Roger
 Dennis, Jr.
