81R6696 JNC-D By: Hodge H.R. No. 358 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to a close with the passing of W. A. Jackson III of Dallas on January 23, 2009, at the age of 80; and WHEREAS, Born in Como on January 8, 1929, "Dub" Jackson was the son of Lizzie and W. A. Jackson, Jr.; he worked in car sales in the Dallas area, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service; and WHEREAS, Mr. Jackson was married to the former Maurine Salzman, and the couple were blessed with three children, Andy, Leslie, and Bradford; his life was further enriched when his family grew to include seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Although Dub Jackson will be deeply missed, cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in the hearts of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of W. A. "Dub" Jackson III and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Maurine Jackson; to his children, W. A. "Andy" Jackson IV, Leslie Hobbs, and Bradford Jackson; to his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; to his sister, Renee Phillips; to his brother-in-law, Phillip Salzman; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dub Jackson.
