R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Abigail P. Franco of Clint were
greatly saddened by her passing on January 25, 2009, at the age of
64; and
WHEREAS, Born on June 16, 1944, to Ambrosio and Maria Perez,
Abbie Perez grew up in a family of 14 brothers and sisters; she
married Enrique "Henry" Franco and with him shared a fulfilling
relationship that was blessed with two children; with the passing
years, they also had the pleasure of welcoming three grandchildren
into the family; and
WHEREAS, A retired teacher's assistant in the special
education program of the Clint Independent School District,
Mrs. Franco devoted two decades to enriching the lives of her
students; this woman of deep faith, compassion, and generosity also
supported the work of San Lorenzo Catholic Church, where she was a
member of the parish; and
WHEREAS, Abbie Franco lived a rewarding life of service to
her family, church, and community, and she will forever hold a
treasured place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Abigail P. Franco and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
husband of nearly 45 years, Enrique Franco; to her daughters,
Roxanne and Christina Franco; to her grandsons, Addam, Michael, and
Joseph Hernandez; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Abigail
P. Franco.
