No. 554 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the loss of Stanley Alvin Fleming of Elm Mott, who died on November 12, 2008, at the age of 68; and WHEREAS, Stanley Fleming was born in Waco on October 18, 1940, to John Oliver and Della Klawitter Fleming; and WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; and WHEREAS, In 1960, Mr. Fleming was joined in marriage to Frances Posey, and together they were blessed with two children; the couple later welcomed a grandson into their family; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fleming worked in retail sales for Borden Milk for 20 years and for Mrs. Baird's Bakeries for 21 years; he was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; and WHEREAS, Although he is no longer with us, the memory of this husband, father, and friend will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Stanley Alvin Fleming and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Frances Fleming; to his daughter, Rhonda Schmidt, and her husband, Thomas; to his son, Stanley Alvin Fleming, Jr.; to his grandson, Jonathan Reyes; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in honor of Stanley Fleming.
