 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The loved ones of Veronica Teresa Cook of El Paso
 were greatly saddened by her passing on January 22, 2009, at the age
 of 88; and
 WHEREAS, Born to John and Catherine O'Hagan, Veronica O'Hagan
 grew up with the companionship of four brothers, John, Charles,
 George, and Alfred, and three sisters, Sarah, Mary, and Joan; she
 exchanged vows with John F. Cook, Sr., at a ceremony at St. Ephraim
 Church in Brooklyn, New York, and together they shared a rewarding
 relationship and experienced the joy of raising seven children;
 with the passing years, their family grew to include 16
 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a
 great-great-grandchild; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Cook was a valued parishioner of Most Holy
 Trinity Catholic Church and taught kindergarten and religious
 education classes at Most Holy Trinity School; and
 WHEREAS, Veronica Cook was a wise and compassionate woman
 whose generosity and graciousness endeared her to many, and she
 will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of all those who
 were fortunate enough to have known her; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Veronica Teresa Cook
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband, John F. Cook, Sr.; to her children, John F. Cook, Jr., Joan
 Keating, Edna Benson, and Veronica, Michael, Edward, and Kevin
 Cook; to her daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, Tram Pho Cook, Diane
 Yung Cook, Diane Costanzo Cook, Carmen Ugarte, Michael Keating, and
 Phil Benson; to her grandchildren, Richard and Dr. John Montorello,
 Maria Montorello Ward, James, Sean, and Caitlin Keating, Patricia
 Keating Porras, Sarah and Teresa Benson, Suzanne Cook Moody, and
 Jennifer, Damien, David Brian, Naomi, and David M. Cook; to her
 great-grandchildren, Krystal Montorello Menchey, Amanda, Megan,
 and William Ward, Bella, Bryan, and Nathan Cook, Christian, Jaydon,
 and Alyssa Moody, Dylan, Amber, and Kelly Blystone, Debbie and
 Shawn Lowely, and Patrick and Erin Fandy; to her
 great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Menchey; to her brother, John
 O'Hagan; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Veronica
 Cook.
