R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Friendswood
contribute immeasurably throughout their region as civic leaders
and volunteers; and
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce,
this exceptional program provides opportunities for participants
to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and
infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a
diverse membership with information regarding local government,
economic development, and social needs; and
WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and
involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership
Friendswood is helping to create a brighter and more promising
future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Leadership Friendswood for its
promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its
participants sincere best wishes for continued success and
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
