H.R. No. 968
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Robert and Sallie Feavel of Midland
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 24, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Feavel and the former Sallie A. Estlund were
joined in matrimony on that special day in 1948 in New London,
Wisconsin; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of four
sons, Randall, David, Scott, and Jay, as well as 12 grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1988, Mr. and Mrs. Feavel
lived in Wisconsin and Colorado before moving to the Lone Star
State; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Sallie Feavel on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Feavel as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
