O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1014 by Hinojosa (Relating to the continuation and functions of the Texas Military Preparedness Commission.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would combine the Texas Military Preparedness Commission's financial and administrative functions of granting loans to defense communities with the Governors Economic Development and Tourism Office.  The bill would also repeal Government Code 481.501(3), 436.003, 436.057(b), 436.1531, and 436.1532.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. This bill would combine the Texas Military Preparedness Commission's financial and administrative functions of granting loans to defense communities with the Governors Economic Development and Tourism Office.
