The bill would amend Subchapter B, Chapter 552, Government Code by adding Section 552.0221 to provide that information regarding income, salary, benefit, and bonus information received by employees and trustees of public employee pension systems are public information under the Public Information Act, and not subject to any exception or statute that would otherwise keep this information confidential. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
