O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1153 by Hinojosa (Relating to the liability of a landowner for an act or omission of a firefighter or peace officer on the property of the landowner.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  A landowner would not be liable for property damages arising from an incident or accident caused by livestock of the landowner due to an act or omission of a peace officer or a firefighter acting within the scope of the officer's or firefighter's authority with or without permission from a landowner. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
