O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1305 by Patrick, Dan (Relating to insurance premium payment assistance for certain persons who have hemophilia and are unable to pay the entire cost of treatment.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to allow the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to assist an eligible person with hemophilia in obtaining insurance by providing premium payment assistance and to contract with a nonprofit entity to make the insurance purchase.  DSHS indicates that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be absorbed within existing agency resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
