Currently, off-premise signs are not permitted on certain highways, but are permitted on the highways addressed in this bill.   C.S.S.B. 1318 amends current law relating to erecting an off-premise sign adjacent to and visible from State Highway 46 or from Farm-to-Market Road 306, 2722, 2673, 3009, 3159, or 1863 in Comal County.   RULEMAKING AUTHORITY   This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.   SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS   SECTION 1. Amends Section 391.252(a), Transportation Code, as follows:   (a) Prohibits a person from erecting an off-premise sign that is adjacent to and visible from the following highways in Comal County: State Highway 46; Farm-to-Market Road 306; Farm-to-Market Road 2722; Farm-to-Market Road 2673; Farm-to-Market Road 3009; Farm-to-Market Road 3159; or Farm-to-Market Road 1863. Makes a nonsubstantive change.   SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2009.

C.S.S.B. 1318 amends current law relating to erecting an off-premise sign adjacent to and visible from State Highway 46 or from Farm-to-Market Road 306, 2722, 2673, 3009, 3159, or 1863 in Comal County.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Amends Section 391.252(a), Transportation Code, as follows:
