O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1498 by Van de Putte (Relating to veteran's employment preferences.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Government Code regarding veteran's employment preferences and provide for a procedure for an eligible veteran to appeal a hiring decision made by a state agency. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
