The bill would change functions and membership of the Border Health Institute. The bill would also require each member of the institute to submit a long-term strategic plan to each member of the legislature whose district includes any portion of a county where the Border Health Institute is established or operating and the Higher Education Coordinating Board. Provisions of the bill would be implemented within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
