The bill would amend the Government Code to require the form letter that is provided to jurors regarding donating some or all of their juror pay to contain a brief description of the programs designated for donation. The proposed change in law would apply only to donations from jurors appearing in response to a summons issued on or after the effective date of the bill, which would be September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
