The bill would increase efficiency standards for plumbing fixtures sold for use in the state. The efficiency standards would correspond with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agencys WaterSense brand. Any costs to the Commission on Environmental Quality in implementing the provisions of the bill are not expected to be significant. Likewise, any revenue increases resulting from plumbing fixture fees paid by manufacturers as a result of the need to list new fixture models is not expected to be significant. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
